Bring the kids out for some hands-on education. We are now taking reservations for Summer 2010, and dates are already filling up fast. Please email us at info@thistleberryfarm.com, or call 574-289-0164, to check on the availability of dates and times, and to schedule your field trip.

Field trips are by appointment only. This discounted rate is available for school groups and day cares only.

Summer Field Trip - Appropriate for ages 3 through 6th grade - Available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in July

  • Field Trips start at 10 am and last for about 90 minutes.
  • Learn about the farm animals in our barn
  • Jump on the super gigantic Jumping Pillow
  • Explore one of our kids corn mazes
  • A ride in the Cow Train, or riding the pedal cars, depending on the age group.
  • Access to our playground area including the corn box and the duck races.
  • A dedicated picnic area and picnic tables
  • $5.00 per child

Fall Field Trip Option 1- Appropriate for ages 3 through 2nd grade - Available September and October

  • Navigate through a 1 acre corn maze
  • Visit all the farm animals in the barnyard area
  • Take a hay ride around the farm to the pumpkin patch
  • Pick a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch
  • Jump on the super gigantic Jumping Pillow
  • Take a ride on the Cow Train
  • Access to our playground area
  • Have fun with the Duck Races
  • A dedicated picnic area and picnic tables
  • $5.00 per child

Fall Field Trip Option 2- Appropriate for grades 2nd through 12th grade- Available September and October

  • Navigate through our 5 acre educational corn maze
  • Visit all the animals in the Petting Farm
  • Take a hay ride around the farm
  • Pick a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch
  • Take a couple laps around the pedal car track or get two shots from the Corn Cannon
  • A dedicated picnic area and picnic tables
  • $6.00 per child

We do require one teacher or chaperone for every five students. Teachers and chaperones that are actively monitoring students in this capacity are free, although they do not get a pumpkin from the pumpkin field. Siblings will be charged the same rate as the students. Minimum school group size is 15 students. Field trips last approximately 90 minutes.
